Jan Bengtsson, CEO
Jan’s previous roles include Partner/CFO at Brainheart Capital, a venture capital fund of EUR 150 million, where he was also responsible for the international fund. Jan has over 20 years’ experience of M&A transactions and has closed more than 25 deals. He has also been in charge of an IPO process at the Stockholm Stock Exchange. Jan has a wealth of experience as CEO/CFO of both start-up and established companies. He also has international experience from businesses in Spain and the Channel Islands. Isabelle Waldenström, Venture Capital Coordinator
Isabelle is a Graduate economist with a degree in Business administration and Economics from Gotland University. She joined Almi Invest in October 2009. She has a great deal of experience of working in the service sector and has a substantial interest in the venture capital market. Before joining Almi Invest, Isabelle lived in Amsterdam where she studied international finance at the University of Amsterdam.

Tarja zu dem Berge, Fund Manager

Tarja has been involved with financing SMEs for 10 years, during which time she focused on acquisition financing in western Sweden. She also has experience as a business development and internationalisation consultant. After graduating from the Stockholm School of Economics, Tarja worked as financial controller for a tour operator. Before joining Almi Invest, Tarja worked as regional manager for Almi’s operations in the Gothenburg area. She has board experience from non-profit organisations and SMEs. Tarja was born in Finland and has also spent a couple of years living in England.

Maria Kristiansson, Investment manager

Maria has been working as a financial consultant for Almi Företagspartner AB in Jönköping for eight years. During this time she has gained broad experience in all spectres of finance and negotiation, as well as the ability to handle a range of different companies and situations. Maria was responsible for developing guidelines and a new working routines for handling financing in the very early phases with conditional loans for businesses, also known as innovation financing. On behalf of Almi Företagspartner AB, Maria has been part of a working group that has produced the basis for the certification of all financing consultants in the Almi Group. Since the second half of 2008, Maria has been working on the internal auditing of the finance business within Almi.
Prior to joining Almi, Maria worked in a bank as a qualified business advisor specialising in insolvency. Maria has also worked as an insurance broker and has a qualification in life insurance from the Swedish IFU education establishment.

Håkan has been working in the financing and development of Swedish high-growth companies for more than 15 years. Before joining Almi Invest Västsverige, Håkan’s previous roles included CFO for Effpower AB and Exide Technologies’ Nordic operations. Håkan has also gained entrepreneurial experience as a one of the founders of Sjunnesson & Krook Corporate Finance AB. Prior to that Håkan worked for Matteus Fondkommission AB, where he was involved in building up the company’s corporate finance department. Anna Langenius, Investment Manager

Anna holds a Master of Science in Business and Economics and has vast experience from strategic positions in both small and medium size companies and larger companies. Her most recent role was as head of Saab BioPower (Global Marketing) within Saab Automobile AB. Before that, Anna for several years, held the position as CEO and part owner of Beko Bil AB, one of the largest GM dealers in Sweden with more than 500 million SEK in turnover. Within Semcon and Guide IT Management AB, Anna worked as a management consultant and in Port of Gothenburg, she worked as CFO of Skandia Harbour. Anna has experience from board work in a number of companies and organizations.

Ulf has a broad financial background from bank and industry. He has worked with financial risk management and export/project financing in the Norwegian Kvaerner group, been in charge of major customers at Nordea Bank and Treasurer at Rottneros AB. Before joining Almi Invest Ulf was the CEO of Dynasafe AB, a high-technological Swedish entrepreneurial company with a turn-over of 100 MSEK and exporting to more than 30 countries. Mikael has over 10 years’ experience in the Nordic venture capital market. Before joining Almi Invest he was Senior Investment Manager at Innovationsbron and CEO of Rendera, focusing on investments in the very early business phases. His earlier experiences include five years at Slottsbacken Venture Capital, a Nordic venture capital fund targeting early-stage high-tech companies. Mikael has managed a large number of transactions and has been an active board member in more than 20 companies. Before moving into investments, Mikael worked in the software industry, primarily within marketing and sales. Björn Persson, Investment Manager

Björn has over nine years’ experience working with SME financing and strategic development, the last four of which have been spent in the venture capital business field. Before joining Almi Invest he was Investment Manager at Innovationsbron, a government-owned corporation that funds start-ups and business incubators across Sweden, where he focused on early-stage investments.
Björn also has experience of managing and building a team of consultants, having previously held a position as Chief of Finance at Almi. His experiences in the VC market include three years at Rendera Såddkapital AB, a regional seed investor owned by Innovationsbron.
Björn has gained broad experience of board committees and also as chairman in several companies. Björn’s area of expertise is ICT and he holds a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering and Management from the Linköping Institute of Technology in Sweden (LiTH).

Linus commenced his work at Almi Invest in November 2011. He has previous experience from the Venture Capital industry through consultancy work as well as being employed as an analyst at the Swedish Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (SVCA). Prior to joining Almi Invest, Linus ran his own consultancy firm where he focused on market research, industry and company analysis for both small and large clients such as Almi, Sting and Samhall.
